The North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is a state-of-the-art health centre providing District Acute Care services to North Bay and surrounding communities, and specialized mental health services to all of northeastern Ontario.
Board Directorship is a volunteer position that typically requires a dedicated time commitment of 15 to 20 hours per month. Members are expected to attend Board meetings and be involved with a committee of the Board. Travel and other expenses to conduct Board business are reimbursed in accordance with Board Policy.
The Board is using an approach that is based on balancing a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience in selecting members that represent the population we serve. For these specific Board positions, a solid background in any of the following areas or disciplines would be an asset: human resources/labour relations; law; information technology; business; accounting; patient and healthcare advocacy; Indigenous/cultural competencies; and leadership and creative problem solving. Knowledge of mental illness and recovery principles is valued and bilingualism in English and French is desirable.
